Thanks for the love, Pig ... I bet it's comforting to know that you're not alone, that there are others like you out there. what's funny is I returned a draw to Aaron yesterday that he unknowingly dropped, but I can't help with the rest.
Aren't the rules that stuff left on a trad climb is booty but draws left on a sport climb means someone's working on it, right? This crap is confusing. If I were to find a cam on Everest I could keep it but that's because the person that left it obviously couldn't clean it and they won't be back to get it. I dunno. Seems pretty obvious to me that quickdraws are different from a stuck nut.

Personally, I don't think it's right to leave draws up on a route for that long. Some people like to hang their own draws when the climb, others simply don't trust using another's gear. I don't think it's right that they took the draws (if that is, in fact, what happened) but I don't think leaving draws up on a route that long is fair either. From what I've seen, draws are usually left on routes that are steep and thus a pain in the ass to clean...or just really hard. TMP is neither. It definitely sucks and I'm sorry your draws are gone. I hope they get returned.
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.
Guss Forester and i saw them hanging (all cliped together) on the first bolt, (all red black dimaond wire gates?) about a month ago. Apparently someone was spaying about these draws he had gotten and alot of people gave him flack so he put them back on the first draw.
So if someone wants to lead that route and place their own draws, they are supposed to remove the left draws, place their own draws, redpoint the route, then replace the draws before they leave? Sounds like someone tried to teach a lesson. I can see someone going to that route several times wanting to climb it with their own draws and after seeing the same draws on there for months, assumed they were a) left and therefore booty or b) in their opinion, left by a rude person needing a lesson. Maybe they are holding them hostage for a certain period of time to make the owner sweat a little.
