Hell yeah. Jamaican Blue Mountain rocks. Make sure it's not a "blend" though.
Good coffee is like a lot of things in life; it's all about subtlety and details. The roast, bean origin, grind and coffee to water ratio all affect the acidity level which directly affect the flavor. There is no formula that holds constant from one coffee to another, so you really have to experiment to find out what works best for you. Also, I have heard that french presses don't get certain things out of the coffee that can be harmful to you. Anyone know anything about that?

I've had this prescription for years, every morning at home from a decent vacuum coffeee maker and when hangin in Annabelle we drink coarse grounds from a press. Coffee is like herb, spend as much as you have to for top shelf quality.

I'm a big fan of LaVazza coffee. I got hooked while in Italy. It's kind of their take on everyday coffee. Like how Ferrari is their take on every day driving vehicle.

I love my Cuisineart Grind & Brew coffee maker. Grinds the beans, spits them into the filter & brews my coffee...whenever I tell it to. It was pricey ($150 for the stainless steel) but sooooo worth it.
But probably no good for road trips.

For the past year Jill and I had been French pressing at home. Each morning we'd grind the beans, boild the water, let it seep, pour, and drink. It was good coffee, but kinda time consuming. This past December I bought a Bunn coffee maker and haven't looked back. We still have the press for camping though.
You can get good coffee at a lot of places around town. Good Foods Co-op, Common Grounds, Lex Coffee & Tea Co, and Liquor Barn all have a pretty good selection.

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
