They are excatly delaminationg, but kinda close to that. The place where those two pieces of rubber come together is soft or something, and I end up with a hole there pretty quick. Like I got these shoes T-Giving, and they are already starting to show signs of it happening. I have climbed a bunch since then (3+ days a week, at least), but my Katana's never did that under the same kind of use. Maybe I should send them to get resoled with Steath instead.

Yas, how are the Athenas? I'm supposed to pick between those and the rockstars.... dunno which to get.

Squeeze-- I haven't worn the Rockstars, but the Athenas have been kicking ass on sport (overhanging and slabby), trad, and a little bouldering since this summer. I haven't been wearing any other shoes, and the pair I have are still in great condition. I'd definitely recommend them.

They are built on the same last according to the website.
