A few years ago I took a climbing trip out to California by myself. Steve Allen (the owner of Climb Time Indy) recommended that I give Hans a call and see if I could climb with him for a day or two while I was there. He gave me his email and phone number. After contacting Hans I was surprised to learn that he wanted to charge me something ridiculous to climb with him ($300 a day + other expenses). I wasn't planning on paying him anything, I just wanted to know if he wanted to climb a few routes. I didn't need a guide so I said no way man.

Anway, I had a great time on my own and met plenty of cool climbers. I went to one of his slideshows a year or two later and it was entertaining. I also saw him at the PBC one year (he and Lisa Rands warmed up on a boulder problem that I could barely complete). He does put on a pretty good slideshow. Steve Schneider did a good job too.
