What's on the other walls? Or are you just having the 30? Very nice!

We're going to have a 20 degree wall on the opposite wall. We're hoping to get that finished in the next two weeks and then we'll put down some padding and be done with it. We'll post some picks when it's completed. We've had some great help from friends and it's been a lot of fun seeing this thing come to life.

Super nice! Regarding the wall opposite, watch out for the "falling backwards, bonking your head" factor....

I'll be posting some pics later this spring of a "little project" I've been working on (with friends). Let's just say that as Chicago is having high temps in the 10 to 15 degree range, your little 'shed' is making me jealous!

Did you build the shed for the gym or the gym for the shed? :?:

High density foam for the floor? That will be sweeeeeeeeet.

We built the garage solely for the gym. There's not even a garage door (we did have a header put it for future residents, though)! It's 16X24 and we had it scissor vaulted inside to allow a maximum height of 13.5 ft. All the doors open out (for safety) and we have two fan/vents in the roof.

Yea, the foam padding will be nice. We thought about using mattresses but those just end up sucking. Someone totally hooked us up with wholesale everything and that's the only reason we've been able to do everything we've done. And Matt Seto (owner of Climb Time) hooked us up with a wall layout in AutoCAD. We have a lot of folks to thank, really. So to all the peeps who've helped us...THANKS! :)

And Tom - We're totally aware of the safety issue you addressed. We feel pretty confident that we shouldn't have any issues with the walls being too close. We're tweaking the kick panels of both walls to allow us to keep our angles while increasing the distance between them. But only time will tell...
