We climbed a tower once so I guess I did get to climb with him. I still have his linemans belt.It wieghs as much as my rack.

I wish I could get my gf interested in climbing.

Its hard but eventually they warm up. Well mine did to bouldering that is.

My dad doesn't pay me too much attention. As for my mom, she has let go of the falling to immediate doom part, but is still convinced that I'm going to put my hand in a hole only to have it bitten off by a snake.

I've always wondered when I'm going to put my hand on a ledge only to find it occupied.

I found a copperhead inches from my hand on a ledge at Jailhouse on Capital Punishment years ago with SCIN on belay. Funny thing is, I was just there this past weekend, and almost put my hand on a copperhead again.

Jailhouse is snake heaven.

I took my stepdaddy climbing last fall. He had a blast. We went to roadside. He sat on a rock and drew climbers, the beautiful view and generally watched us climb. It was so fun. Rhunt, Yasi, Sandy, Mia and a whole group was out that day. They were great to my stepdaddy. I took a huge whipper too! He wasn't worried at all. Hugh explained how all of the bolts work, so he's convinced that they'll hold. Man, that's one of my favorite crag days.

Man, that's funny. The last time we were at Jailhouse Ray had his hand a foot away from this snake laying on a mushroom. I heard SCIN scream like a little girl.

Beautiful snake. Somehow I think it might not have been so pretty when it scared poor SCIN.
