Does anyone out there have wide feet or all climbers narrow footed?
What would one recommend for people with wide(r) feet?

Was looking at the Katanas...CT just doesnt have them small enough for me to try on...so I'm thinking I'm going to have to fly-by on the sizing. I was really interested in the Mambas...guy at our gym has some and although they were too big they felt good.captain static wrote:Are you looking @ the Mantra or the Mantra-S? John K. had a pair of Mantra's and said he liked them but I do think they will blow out more quickly than other options. I am not sure what exactly you are looking for in a shoe but wonder why you are not interested in Katana's? I recently switched from Anasazi velcros to Cobras for bouldering but am thinking of getting Katanas for my next shoe because I have talked to a number of people who like them.
I don't agree that they are the best anymore...they have reshaped their toe box and cupped their heel in more...for a guys foot that's great bc guys heels tend to protrude more than a females...and I just wanna try something different...I've had my mocs for a yr now (outside and inside) I got them too small....I wear 8.5 street shoe and got my mocs at 5.5squeezindlemmon wrote:The best all around shoe out there (for narrow feet) is the 5.10 Moccasym. No doubt about it.
Sorry LLR, never tried any of the shoes you listed.
I just wish I could find these shoes somewhere so I could try them on first

I believe RQ also carries Katanas. The Mambas are not listed on the La Sportiva website so I'm not sure they are still in production? Have you ever looked @ what shoes they carry a Sun & Ski sports?

CS...what are you talking about the Mambas not being listed on LS's site?
http://www.sportiva.com/products/climbing/mamba.html
they are brand new
I've call S&S and RQ...they only have 37.5 I need a 36.5 I think since I wear 37.5 in my mocs and it seems like people are saying that there is at least a whole size difference bt 5.10 and LS

I was looking on the lasportiva site not the sportiva site. Funny, you think they would list the same products?
