Deny all is just a default setting that just about always has to be changed to allow something in. The question is what you allow in, and how you deal with it once it is in. Port scanning fools who just flood you with crap need to be denied, but people sending you cool emails need to be let in. It is super tricky to get a balance for sure.

The world would be a much better place if everyone was also reverse firewalled to block the spam coming out of them in the first place.

Deny by default, reassess repeated attempts, then generally deny again. For me it usually takes a blunt force crack to get in.

This thread just reminds me of that Isac Asimov robot that went out of its brain because of prority conflicts. It just ran around spouting Gilbert and Sullivan.

Mmmmmm, should I hijack the thread and run with the I, Robot theme or not. Decisions, decisions.....

I haven't Meadows. I can only say that I was psyched when I saw the teaser trailers a year or so ago. It had potential to kick some ass but I was wondering since I, Robot is a collection of short stories how they were going to pull it off. Well they don't from what I understand. It is a movie based on the 3 laws of robotics and that's about it. I'd bet hard money that Asimov is spinning in his grave.

I don't know the history of it but the special effects were outstanding and maybe had unique moments that didn't resemble The Matrix, Spi*der*man, and other recent action flicks. Of course, I was left thirsting for answers and trying to remember cool quotes.

If you are thirsting for answers then go to your public library and read I, Robot. Or if you are really desperate and they don't have it try amazon.
