Thats whats so damn funny about all this bs. Half the people bitching about it have never done a damn thing to help and are just jumping on the bandwagon. If you dont like whats going on then get out and try to change it. Yeah the coalition needs a major overhaul, but they are out there trying to keep areas open for YOU to climb. I cant say I agree with everything the RRGCC has done or how the BOD comes across and treats people. But I can say without them we would not have as many areas to play at.

Buster, what do advising and counciling have to do with climbing? Well, CAC is composed of climbers voted by climbers who were entrusted to be the climbing community's voice.

It's true that a lot of people don't like what's going on BUT it's also true that some of these people got out and tried to change it. Tim Powers is one of these many people. But he got turned down.

Overhung, the CAC is NOT for authoritarian personalities to politely try and tell everyone else what to do. The way it's supposed to work, the CAC addresses the needs of the community and protects the future of climbing. I know there has been a misconception that CAC meetings are just beer drinking sessions where a bunch of people just blab, but this year's CAC was actually making a difference.

Some people just don't like having their pretty little toes stepped on.

I've donated money to the coalition so I guess that qualifies me to talk about, lord knows I'd hate to have a whistle blower tell me not to talk about this stuff.

wow, I met Tim a day or so before he was elected. I was very relieved to have someone like him, with his background at the Red and his love for climbing, representing us. I'm hoping Tim's reasons have to do with not having enough time or something like that rather than political but I won't hold my breath considering what's been floating around lately. Thanks for the time you did give Tim, far as I can tell the Coalition is losing a great member.

Thanks Sandy for posting the link, i was having some computer problems this morning. Also thanks to everyone for the comments. There were alot of reasons i quit, way too many to explain at this time. Feel free to ask me if you see me in the red or at miguels. My main goal now is to keep running route development at Muir Valley. Tim

Sad to see you go T-Bone. I still think you are the perfect person for the job and could make a difference. I'm happy to help develop Muir Valley with you and I look forward to hearing more great stories about the history of the Red.
