Just a friendly reminder, questions and discussions concerning the RRGCC and the Murray-Pendergrass Reserve should be posted at: http://thered.org/forum/ to receive an official response. Artsay, would you or someone else please post this question over there?

FYI: I don't think the lot is completed.

I doubt it will get paved, but that was funny.

I doubt it was built for us...but the way you guys assume the RRGCC has turned down an offer from Charmane is funny.

That's what I was thinking! ...AND the reason I wanted to ask what other folks have heard.

I also heard something about them allowing us to climb at those "in question" crags if we used the parking areas. Do I think this is true? I have no idea. Folks are spewing these rumors around and I'm just curious what anyone else knows.

I love how asking a question concerning the RRGCC always turns out to be so controversial. It's like prime Michael Moore material.

As a courtesy to the climbing community, I have re-posted Artsay's original post over on thered.org forum for an official response.

From what i was told, we can't climb arena/oil crack because we can't access the cliff line without crossing property controlled by the oil company. I don't think parking in a different area would change that.

There's been an open area on the road by the turn up to oil crack/drive by for years. I've parked there before when it was crowded farther up the road. It would probably get me towed, now.

Has a new area been opened up there?
