Also, can someone point me to a map of the main Sore Heel parking area? Thanks.

I take no credit for Sore Heel's developement. Actually, I take a lot of credit for keeping it an unknown for years. I walked it years ago and never saw the cliff they found. I've been telling folks for years that the placed sucked. I guess I was wrong.
Terry, Bob, and Mark Jackson did all the work at Shady Grove and John and Ryan Adams did all the work at the 5.10 wall (well, I think Bob has put up a route there too). God or whoever provided us with the medium, these guys put the bolts in, but more importantly, they did the access work (trails, parking, etc...) and most importantly, the RRGCC did the real brinksmanship work staring down the evil Charmane Oil Co. Our tenacious Executive Director took it to them full mean ass dog style and fucked them up super hard. That owner dude is still wearing teeth marks on his ass. Hurts, don't it. That's what you get. You should have played nice. Hard lesson to learn. Guess you never learned to share.

The wall to the left of Shady Grove is called The Playground (cause that's what the RRGCC insiders want ). From right to left:
1. Bob's 5.8 - super chill, fun knobblies and edges, wet after rain
2. Teeter Totter 5.11c - sustained edging, desperate
3. Balance Beam 5.11b? - easier version of Teeter Totter
4. Octopus Tag 5.6 -no huge gear needed, very nice, Persian Gulfish w/o the bolts
5. Crack the Whip (open project, probably 12a/b) crimps, power?
6. Capture the Flag 5.11b - devious, power
7. Monkey Bars 5.10a - good holds with a rest
8. Jungle Gym 5.10b - fun ending w/ funky lip, rope edge danger
9. trad project (intermittent crack, no anchors)
10. Steal the Bacon 5.10c? (project) loose rock, needs traffic, anchors high
11. Red Rover 5.11a/b? - good, sidepully, pumpy
The trails are rudimentary in this area. Please use 'em and enhance where needed.
