Sunshine
Wes, good point. I had not considered the new bolts at Roadside. However, as you know, there have been quite liberal applications of bolts of late. I don't think this is the root cause for the above mentioned offense. Although, the imbalance does grow.

Actually, I really like Sunshine the route. I think it is fun and has a nice flow if you have the right beta...
Balance is key for sure. It must be something about the 1,000 user deal that caused this converence.

Is Sunshine the one on the right or the left of the to routes? The one on the left was a lot of fun, if thats the one your relating to Wes.

When Eureka was put up the FA stated that bolts should be removed after the 1000 accent of the route. When I did the route this last fall, I was number 927 according to the sign in sheet hanging from the anchors. I just love my personalized certificate I recieved from the forest ranger hanging from the anchors. It reads "Andy Lemon climber #927 to accend Eureka". Someone should thank that forest ranger when they see him, for putting in all his hard work and time hanging from the anchors of Eureka just to pass out certificates.
Not a bitch.
Yeah Wes they're good warmups, once you're climbing 11s. I don't think they're good beginner climbs though and I also think that they're scary...but without beta. Funny, I try not to ask for too much beta unless I can't figure something out. That might be why I think the routes suck. But I don't take beta well when I'm climbing on a route, I get confused. It's the strangest thing.

Has it taken this long for Eureka to be ascended 1000 times? Have I
been asleep that long? I figured it would have seen at least 1000 ascents in one weekend. Yet, once again the number 1000 factors into this.
Hmmmmm.
Spragwa - you wound me. I just want to make everyone happy.
Won't you learn to love me like so many others have?

Hard, yes. Hard for the grade, hardly! S & M are breakthrough routes. To climb these routes with style and grace a climber must be one with the Rock. One must not think of climbing up the Rock, but rather of pulling the Rock down past you while you remain on the ground.
Yes Moonbeam, Spragwas' words wound. She has yet to find her way.
