Nothing makes my blood boil like hearing stuff like this.
It makes me wonder where the forest rangers are that I hear about. But I guess they are hanging out with bigfoot because they are sure not at the red.

and the rangers - yeah I only ever see them at night - seemingly patrolling for drunks and underage climbers going to the beer store....

I don't believe the FS Rangers are responsible for Roadside or the Southern Region. That would be the jurisdiction of the local police.

Well what you need to do is drive and armed SUV back there. Like this:

Just hook up a vibration sensor to the car so when bumped the motion detector on the gun will pick up movement and will fire. That should prevent people from braking in.

The real answer to the problem would be for all you Yankees to stay home on the weekends. Then your cars wouldn't get broken into and us locals could climb in peace. I don't mind a broken window now and again.

Why not just leave everything in your tent, with the exception of your climbing gear and other things you will be taking up to the crag.
