An obtuse dihedral is a dihedral that is greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. Didn't you guys take Geometry? Anyhow, obtuse can also be meant as extremely smooth and/or rounded.

I think that what 171 meant is:
Here's one messed up term... what does it mean?
Yet, there are so many others... would someone explain them all???
The answer to your questions will soon be available online on the new RRGCC web site. Getting the right definitions can sometimes be difficult, so we'll see what we can do to make it a little easier in the future for all climbers' level.

Meadows, there is a pothead's dictionary.
http://serunim.tripod.com/psd.html
my favorite: Story Stickin- The act of holding the pipe or joint while talking and not toking or passing it on. This usually happens when the person story stickin is too high in which case the person next for the pipe/joint has the authority of taking the pipe/joint away from the story sticker.

alien2, Thanks! I don't want to make the mistake I did when I first started climbing - I didn't do my research beforehand and I had NO CLUE what the hell everyone was saying. So when I start smoking pot, people will mistake me for an expert.

We usually blow the whistle and call a double penalty for holding, rambling.
