For sure. Man, how cool would that be. Have a beer on Sunday while watching people fight to the death for your entertainment, knowing that you have a little hottie waiting on you for some action later. Why did the Roman empire fall again? And how do we get it back?

I forgot about that. Add freaking $20.00 to my total because both my kids had to have candy for their friends in class. We're up to $70.00. I'm drawing the line.

Stay single, it's much cheaper. A little frustrating in some areas, but still cheaper.

Wes;
Some might say the Roman Empire fell because they were all sitting around watching people fight to the death, drinking beer, and noodling around with their little hotties. Meanwhile the Germans were knocking down the front door. Anyway, I think there was a book written about it....

Ya think? Man, that sucks. Not much into books, is there a movie I could watch instead?

there is this show called the Real World on MTV, it illustrates the future downfall of man/woman perfectly

and is quite enjoyable to watch....

The Real World is still on? Wow - are they starting to get desperate for locations? I can picture: "The Real World: Harlem" or maybe "The Real World: Compton"
or how about "The Real World: Tikrit" !!!!!!

Maybe I should check into getting cable again...I feel so behind the times, the last Real World I remember anything about was Miami I think...with that gay guy, "Dan" -- who ironically enough, I met in 1999 at a drag show in Buffalo, New York. He's a nice guy, not at all like he seemed to be on the show. He let me stay in his hotel room after I got locked out of mine at 4am.

True story.

Then again, I'm not a fan of exchanging birthday and Christmas gifts, either (except with my children, of course). It feels so forced. I prefer to be impulsive with gift giving. Once in a while I luck out and think of a perfect gift for someone near their birthday, but I never go out and try to find a gift just because I feel I have to. That's what Valentine's Day seems like. Screw that.
Amen, Sandy! I didn't buy any Christmas gifts this year, nor am I taking part in Valentine's Day. I feel like anything I'd get for Loren would have a "Here, it's Valentine's Day, so I have to" feel to it, and I hate that.

I told my beau to NEVER waste any money on flowers or chocolate or whatever...it is just lame. I love romance, but not the kind you buy at the store. :)

if you are gonna spend 50$ on me...buy me a quickdraw and some hexes....

I love all holidays because it's an excuse to celebrate. The more holidays the better!

This Valentine's Day will be an excuse to cook one of Ray's favorite meals and eat something especially sweet. Just a little something to make the day special. Ray has given me flowers consistently about every three weeks since we've been dating (three years this month) and not once has he given them to me on a holiday.

As for X-mas, birthdays, etc...I give if I feel like it and if I have the money. There have been times when my bestest buddy, Muao Dib, was into something (a new hobby, etc.) around her birthday so I had fun buying her a gift that I knew she'd love. Other years I don't give her anything. I don't think I've ever hurt her or anyone else's feelings for not giving them anything. If anything, it's my own weakness for feeling guilty for not giving.

All in all, I think my favorite thing about holidays is the cheap post-holiday candy in the grocery store. Ray and I love fall through spring because of all the holiday candy. After V-day, the next holiday candy is Easter and then there's nothing until Halloween!
