I wasn't very happy with how problems were set...and I know this complaint goes for most people that I talked to about it...but it was still a great atmosphere and people were friendly.
The CT cincy crew had a blast...and walked away with most of the prizes I think.
By the way they weren't making people become abs members to climb in this one...but I think it is a new rule for abs comps.
MeetVA we were so tired by the end of the comp we didnt even care about the hot tubs...lol...we just ate at some grill and headed home to pass out...but thanks for the bathing suit offer

I didn't compete but I did finally score a pair of bouldering shoes. Picked up a pair of Cobras for $75. Also got two long Petzl draw setups for $14 ea. Didn't seem like quite as many people as in the past at the comp. Apparently another comp in Atlanta w/ a cash purse for the elite climbers may have drawn away that level of talent? There did appear to be some pretty stout problems that few, if any, could even touch. I watched a number of people get their butts whipped on the orange roof problem in the bouldering cave. I did see one very strong dude flash it by campusing out the roof! I did hit the hot tub and where I picked up a lead on a consulting job up in the Oxford area.

Hey LLR, it was nice meeting you. The comp went pretty darn well.
Thanks to everyone for competeing. Despite the Atlanta comp (which may have cyphoned off some competitors) we did have about 10 more climbers this year than last.
I will pass along the info about your comments on the problems. Last year, the people running the comp had a couple of years under their belts this year we only a 1 or 2 people who had run a comp before. Next year will definitely be on an increased rockin' level.
CS, why the heck didn't you introduce yourself!!!
That hurts. Thanks for coming by anyway. Hope you heal well and can compete next year.

Sorry VA. There were so many people with Miami shirts. I didn't see/figure out who you were until the end of the comp as you went whizzing by, apparently very busy. I was in a hurry to leave then because I had to take my daughter to another event at the YMCA. I plan to visit for some climbing soon to try some of the problems. BTW my shoulder injury is healed & I have been building my strength back up at CT.
