People, the oil company can read and might not have the same sense of humor as you apparently do. Please work for the community and not against the community. Now I really don't feel that balanced at the moment to be climbing up on a soap box and all...so don't make me!
As usual the climbing timeframe of acceptance to the situation is obviously clashing with how things are done in the legal/business world. SO BE PATIENT AND I AM NOT GOING TO ASK AGAIN!

Just genuinely disengenuous.

... and you will be looking for a ride to Beattyville and forking out $160 to get your car back. If you get belligerent w/any Charmane or towing co. people you may be spending some time in the Lee Co. jail. Hope you have a big legal fund and good lawyers to support you. Maybee you should give Johnny Cochrane a call? Remember, this is rural Kentucky. You really think that you will have a chance in the Co. courts?

I would really like a update on the southern region. It would be great to climb there this weekend. I dont want to cause any problems for the RRGCC, but if we closed on the land I want to use it. Please advise the climbing community of the situation before this weekend. thanks
If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains...You're lucky enough...
The last word was to stay away for a while.
Why is this so hard to understand?
Legal things take time.
I just wrapped up an iccedent that happened in August of 2000.
It's funny to me that the people who have equiped the majority of the routes in the SR, the people who have talked to the land owners and secured access years ago, and the folks who are signing the papers to actually buy the land, (all rrgcc member-board members) are avoiding the area.
They are practising what they preach.
We have ONE opportunity to make this thing work or not.
If you are going to ignore the recommendation to have some patience and stay away until things can be resolved than you can be proud to let everyone know that you have played a big part in making the access in the SR dificult.
Or you can do what the new land owners are recommending and help insure EVERYONE will be able to climb in the SR in the years to come.
Grow up. Climb somewhere else for a while. Get "adventurous".
