Too heavy? You need to work out more if you can't even keep up with a girl  I guess that was a bit ambiguous though  I have the iFP-190T to work out with. I love it!

I have a Rio Nike that I bought in June for a 1/2 marathon and I'd like to sell it (arm band and earphones never used). I want to train for a full marathon and this holds maybe 1.5-2 hours of music, which isn't enough for 4 hours of running. If interested, PM me.

You might also want to consider the minidisc players. I like mine quite a bit - holds hours and hours of music, never skips, and is pretty light and small. Good for running and I use it when traversing in the gym (fits easily in your pocket). The other thing I like about it is the ability to switch discs depending on listening mood. I don't know much about the MP3 players, but my understanding is that once you fill it up you have to erase stuff to put different/more music on it. If you go the minidisc route, make sure you get one of the newer ones that record "faster" - mine is a few years old and only records in real-time, so I usually just set it up overnight and let it record. I think all of the new ones have done away with that real-time recording inconvenience though.

Don't go with the Zen or I-pod if you are going to be jarring it. They have hard drives that can be damaged with repeated abuse. They are fine for biking, mowing the lawn, solo toproping, vehicle tunes, etc. They also excel in storing huge volumes of data. The reason I picked the Zen over I-pod is because the Zen had the highest volume without distortion when in headphone mode (sometimes I just want to jam). My suggestion is to go to the stores that let you try them out. 128kbps is CD quality so take that into consideration on how much music they will actually store. A 3min35sec song at 128kbps = 3.371 megabytes and a 4min58sec song = 4.658 megabytes.
