oh yeah! I forgot about that. DOH! So his banning wasn't unfair at all. He should have known better.

I think I'm neutral on this issue, to be honest. I don't care either way. If he is let back on and creates problems again, though, I'll be the one making a case to ban him. Hell, I'll ban him myself.

I'm with Jeff, I don't miss his crap at all. Just off of the top of my head I can't remember him posting anything constructive. I'm sure he did at some point, but I just can't get past off of the other stuff.

I read the post he got kicked off for and I thought it was way over the line.

How many times do you have to warn a guy?

I don't miss him at all.

keep him away... i talked to him a couple times, and he was slamming people behind their backs... which is definitely not just 'baiting' people and 'pushing buttons' as you all want to give him credit for... he is legitimately unlikeable and crass.

I'm with Jeff, too. In person I don't mind Joe, but on the board I don't like his personality at all. I've told him this same thing many times.

Garageclimber -- No shit, you think he was a troll? I doubt if that ever occurred to anyone.

Screwing with people for entertainment purposes should be encouraged but there's gotta be a line in the sand and it was pretty obvious to everyone he was taking it too far. Insults and threats to someone in particular are one thing, but derogative comments towards the fine ladies of this site is another thing altogether.

That said, I would have kicked him after the repeated threats of violence to vic and others. Sometimes you just got to cull the herd and I'm glad it finally happened.

What's to stop him from choosing another name, computer and getting back on?

We already caught him trying to do that with "jen123".

His online persona was charming, indeed. I was able to look past his caustic demeanor a couple times but ultimately dismissed him as a twit with a keyboard. Once recognized as such, it was much easier to look past him and his hateful posts. A twit with a keyboard is merely a twit with a keyboard and does not immediately require revoked privileges. We've all said and done stupid things haven't we?
But this isn't a public site and Ray has issued a set of rules that require particular behavior and etiquette and it seems that JH chose not to play by the rules.
Game over. No time left on the clock.
I never read the nefarious last post and it is probably inappropriate that it be displayed publicly again (so I won't ask).
My vote is to cast JH off the island.
