I dont think his rights were violated. He agreed to the terms of this site and violated them.

I respect you immensely ynot but agreeing to the terms does not sacrifice a person's rights to be treated equitably... the guy deserved a level playing field.
I told JH Saturday night that I wouldn't talk that way(much,sometimes I slip) and that derogatory phrases about women, grotesque sexual comments etc. are harsh and offensive and they hurt the speaker as much as the recipient. But I disagree with banning one guy because he ruffled some feathers(some might say viciouslly plucke) while others can't rant away with offensive, vulgar, sarcastic comments because they might be better liked or actually run this site.
I don't agree with much of what JH has said but I would defend to your death his right to say so. (paraphrase of Voltaire on bad acid)

JH made his own bed and now he is sleeping in it.
He was a complete idiot on this board, and pretty close to a complete idiot the one day I climbed at the same crag as him.
No loss as far as I'm concerned.
