The Coalition has a former BOD member that does work with the State Senators and does her best to have them include pro-climbing clauses in legislation; however, there is no dedicated lobbyist working towards this at this time. If you (or someone you know) is interested in acting as a pro-bono lobbyist please contact me. We would LOVE to have that :-) Unfortunately, we don't have the extra funds right now. :-(

The Access Fund lobbies too. Zach was involved in the recently announced opening of climbing at Breaks Interstate Park. While it’s not climbing in a Kentucky State Park per se, climbing at a state owned park in Kentucky is a start. Zach, along with others at AF, also have been working on opening to climbing other state owned RRG land.

The way to support these efforts is to join AF. When it comes to deciding how to allocate scarce resources, AF does factor in where their donors live. Personally, when I saw the AF membership numbers for Kentucky and Ohio, I was amazed the organization could survive on such a pittance.

The RRGCC has been working on opening other public and private lands. The organization certainly is not limited to PMRP and MFRP in geographic scope.
