While not as glamorous as new land, perhaps fixing the roads and parking for the PMRP should be a priority.

Either that or a private security firm to maintain vehicular safety in the nether regions of Lee County... maybe Blackwater is available.

When you are headed down into the PMRP you pass a field on the right, just before the main hill leading into the valley. Are you allowed to park there if the load lot is full?

As far as parking lots are concerned we are in the process of planning new parking and expanded parking in key areas. Its just a matter of logistics time and money. We have a tentative time frame of the week of 25th (weather permitting) to do road repairs and maintenance. we currently have a plan in place to repair road to sore heel (including initial hill and hill just before the parking lot) as well as the road to coal bank. I assure you repairs and infrastructure are a top priority.

that is all we have scheduled. As soon as I can get the roads squared away for the spring we will begin addressing the parking issues. we agree that more parking may be needed however we need to be careful not to put more parking than a particular area can handle (I.E. you don't park 50 cars at a crag that can handle the impact 25 people)

to my knowledge the land at the top of the main hill is NOT OURS parking there might get you towed. there used to be a cable fence and a no parking sign.

On a side not a spring trail day is in the works, more info very soon.

blackwater is not available, your stuck with us for now....... sucks to be yall I reckon.

Thanks for the info, very helpful. I do have a question. What is the RRGCC stance on parking for non RRGCC land, motherlode, choco, bears den, as this seems to be the biggest issue.

Parking on land we don't own or don't have a agreement with the land holders in place allowing us to park, tends to piss off the locals.
Upsetting the folks who's backyard we play in is never a great idea. That being said parking is allowed only is designated areas on the PMRP. parking anywhere else without land owner permission could jeopardize future access and cause unwanted issues with our neighbors.

Please be patient with us, we are working on improving the situation in the southern region. If you want to help please feel free to contact me. I can always use another pair of hands or pair of eyes.
