I like cold weather camping. In my army surplus mountain bag ($89)that is good to -40. I zip it all the way up,with only my nose sticking out. Everything is warm and I'm not breathing "used " air.(This is very important!)
When it's real cold outside, every breath makes a plume of steam that goes several feet into the air. It's really cool to lie awake at night, starring into the bright night sky. That's lit up by the moon. Reflected by the snow. Blowing "smoke" 15 ft into the air.Very hypnotic zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

I love sleeping in the great outdoors....but I still vote for the bed.<br> Yeah...definitely. Soft, cozy, warm....

How could a floor and therma-rest ever compare to that?! :?

From what I've seen they're between $1500 and $3000. They're AMAZING!

Muao Dib i payed $1500 for a queen size.I think that was with a small discount.I used to wake up every morning with a stiff back.I couldn't even stand up straight for atleast an hour. Now i wake up with no back problems at all.

A little old lady gave me an antique bedroom set for shoveling the snow in her drive all winter. Remember the 2 feet we got a few years back? It creaks and groans but it sleeps great!
