Bill with Batman or Larry with Tower of Power

Placing a cam? Slotting a nut? Slinging a tree?

Who has more successfully created a classic route in their own minds?

I nominate Bill Strachan with his infamous 30 foot route "Here Comes Batman"

Pardon me JR, but how would you know how good either route is?

I would also like to nominate Sir Raymond Ellington for his slug-infested spoogewrangle "Drunked Up" out at Indian Creek... :)

Doesn't the name give you an indication of the trustworthiness of the quality of the route?

Well I went and did HCB on Saturday. The majority of the route is fairly easy and a good warmup for the top. The top is fairly short, powerful and a little sandy from lack of any traffic. This climb does give you the sense of a big climb and high quality.

Cool, now you and Dan can race to see who's first to do both of these choss-piles and tell us which one is worse. The fame, the glory!

Congrats Mike on getting the second ascent! The sand is infortunately the result of denuding at the top created from a combination of rappellers collaring trees and a forest fire.
