Climbing over X-Mas Break

Since my discussions with Ian were the impetus for this post let me clarify/add a few criteria:

- No camping
- Approach it from the perspective that climbing is not the main focus of the trip but rather one thing out of many that could be done.
- We are open to international destinations as well

Portero Chico is on the radar but I'd be curious to hear how people feel about the safety situation down there. Vegas might be an option too although we've more or less exhausted the non-climbing tourist things that we'd want to do there.
