I know this is a crazy notion, but I'd suggest that when the case goes to trial and the facts are known, we'll actually have a basis for our beliefs as to whether Zimmerman is guilty or not. For some, I realize the facts don't matter, they're willing to convict or acquit based on emotion, politics, racial identity, whatever. To them I'd like to offer up a hearty Fuck You!

it feels like we're on the verge of some kind of enlightenment, facts and such. are you sure we shouldn't just shoot him?

Most of the "facts" are already out there, and cases like this only reveal extra "details" that don't change much.
I mean, we know that he was asked to stop pursuing the kid and he ignored the order, ended up confronting him, and killed the kid. Does it really matter what words were exchanged or what kind of 'scuffle' took place? That's the crux; confront the notion or ignore it, but that's where the decision lies for the jury. The accused opted to put himself in a position that led to the death of an unarmed kid. That is a fact.
As far as the other stuff goes (politics, race, emotion), can't we leave that to Fox news? This is redriverclimbing; logic and objectivity reign supreme here.

You need to check your "facts". Or better yet, wait for the trial, pay attention, then go back and read what you just wrote.

Like I said: confront the notion or don't. But the crux remains the same!
(and, yes, it's quite a pickle...that's the point)
