I havent seen Obama lead us into two unnecessary wars costing thousands of lives and trillions of dollars.... Serious question, what has Obama done that even comes close to that???

Either way it unfortunately looks like its another election between a turd sandwhich and giant douche.

With Romney there is the potential of having several first ladies at once - that would be pretty funny. With Obama, dudes can marry dudes and chicks can marry chicks and thats kinda cool too. It'll be a historiclly funny election season and pretty wierd to boot. Lets see a scenerio: North Korea launches a successful "satellite" and loads a you-know-what onto it and makes a scientific gesture at, let's say...Los Angles. Obama has killed Bin Laden and sorta knows how to do things like that. Romney says the Obama mission was a bad idea, no, no, I mean a good one done badly, no, no, I mean - hold on one of my wifes is calling.... Okay, let's be fair...another scenario: Mitch McConnell convinces the Senate that workers are really exploitable drones (kinda like Umpa Lumpas) and wants to repeal ...everything in the world you can possibly imagine. Obama knows how to deal with this - please refer to the Bin Laden scenerio above. Romney agrees with him and signs the bill into law - witnessed by all of his wives and secretary of state Warrenn Jeffs.

Nor does Romney want you to see them..

From what I understand, the majority of Romney's income (21 million last year alone) is generated from capital gains. Thus, his tax rate is 15%.

In other words, if you make $40,000 a year, not only do you pay a higher tax rate than Romney, but he made as much money as you did in 16 hours.

The bottom line, for me, is that anyone who wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent (like Romney) is either a billionaire or a puppet.

your chart is deceiving, in that no one could see the wars coming before 9-11..so there is no way to know what major expenditure may be in line for the next four years. also, the bush tax cuts are still in place so they need to be reflected in the obama side as well.

the bush tax cuts help every single taxpayer. trust me on this one. for every one of romney there are 350 normal folks who got more in their pocket at the end of the year. what most folks disagree with is the 'tax savings" that are going to the wealthy. they want their part of the bush tax cut but want to eliminate it for the 1 percenters....

and guess what, the cap gains rate is the same for all of us, not just romney. well, actually for lower wage earners, cap gains can be 5% or even zero. I think what we seem to be angry about is that those who need it least appear to be getting a bigger benefit. I would never ever begrudge someone for making more money than me. I don't want the govt coming in and telling me how much is ok to make and above that they will confiscate what they deem necessary. perhaps all professional athletes and rock musicians should be paid like school teachers too...anyone making that argument?

No--but they do need to pay a higher tax rate than that of the school teacher.

If I make $10,000 on stocks (a highly unlikely scenario), I pay 15%.
If I make $100 million on stocks, I still only pay 15%.

If someone becomes a billionaire in the US, they should be happy to give back a fair share to the country that made it possible.

I agree with "fair share'...but who decides that?

and an athlete does pay a higher tax rate than a school teacher. the US has a graduated tax rate system whereby high wage earners pay more.

oh, and btw, whomever started the whole ....
"40k teachers pay 25%" on their income is plain wrong. let's even assume she is single although this would not be a fair assessment in comparing her to romney. heck let's say she has no kids even. so we take their 40k to start. we give him/her the standard deduction of $5,800 and then she gets a personal exemption of 3700. These are the 2011 amounts. so 40000 minus 5800 minus 3700 leaves her with a taxable income of $30,500. The first $8500 is taxed at 10% and the remainder from $8500 up to $30,500 is taxed at 15%. yup, her highest tax bracket puts him/her higher than whatever imaginary number the spinmeisters pulled out for romney. is this teacher were married and had kids, their taxes would be much lower. doesnt anyone have a problem with the frothy mouthed libs lying to us with this hype? why is falsehood only pertinent when it is from someone you loath?

Pig,
The wealthy aren't getting their tax break on their W2, they are catching the break in the companies they own and increased opportunity to maximize tax shelters.
