Plenty of room at Miguel's, I'm inventing this thingy were you can stack tents on top of each other.
It would depend on how much you charge for camping if anyone were to come. Can you beat $2, if not, why would I goto your place over 2 dollar camping?

$2 for camping and $1 for a shower is not a bad deal. The crowds definitely have gotten worse over the years so the need for more camping is a definite!

I think it might be a good idea for climbers who can afford it. with gas prices going up, my trips to the red are getting more expensive. On average, I am now spending around $60 per month on gas driving to the gorge. that's in my tiny car, too! I can imagine what it's costing to feed the SUV's!
i would rather spend $2 and sleep in the back of my car...even if I lived in Lexyington.
On the other hand, the Red gets climbers from all over the US/World. A hostel type situation might be a good way to go. I don't see a large number of climbers (remember, we are bums) renting a cabin for the weekend.

I'm perfectly happy camping in the back of my car at Miguel's. I love the fact that everytime I go to the Red, I look forward not only to a day of climbing, but also to an evening of hanging out with a bunch of great people there and hearing all about their adventures.

I stayed at the Climbers' Ranch in the Tetons once and it was really cool. I think we paid $6 a night and got a wooden pallet (bunkbed), a communal toilet/shower and kitchen facilities. They had a pay phone and a library as well as a small bouldering wall and the most incredible view to step out your cabin door to. It was totally worth $6 and then some.
