ha. agreed. doesn't matter much for kentucky voters anyhow as our electoral votes will likely go to anyone/anything not called Obama.

Not an Obama fan at all, but it is called war folks. No trial needed. Would you really rather spend tax dollars feeding these criminals in jail and dragging out long court cases etc.

Mark - I'm not criticizing O'Bama. War truly is hell. I just enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy of those on the left who were ready to bring Bush to trial for his "war crimes", but are going to line up to re-elect O'Bama, even after he's run the war pretty much exactly the way Bush did, only more so. The prison camp at Guantanamo Bay was page one news at the New York Times, day after day, for months, even years on end when Bush was the president. Now that O is in power the outrage is forgotten. Obama promised to close Gitmo in order to get elected, now it's clear that he's not about to close the camp, now, or ever - as long as the war goes on. The fuckers that were all worked up over Gitmo couldn't care less now that their man is in charge.

i think that you're not taking into account the banal march of time. bush's administration lied us into war but you don't hear much about it in the media these days. why? it would seem almost ridiculous to bring it up, almost beside the point. time marches on, past wrongs are forgotten or minimized, new battle-lines are drawn and the game is played all over again.

the really dedicated activists -- those that spend a significant chunk of their time (whether through conviction or profession) caring about single-issues like detention policies -- are still, i'm sure, working tirelessly to pressure the administration to stop. for the rest of us normal folk, life goes on, bills are paid, and we have to make decisions about the lesser of two evils.

do i wish obama would stop that shit? yes, of course. i also wish he would do a lot of other things differently. there's also not a chance i'll vote for anyone else this fall.

I should have said MOST of the fuckers that were all worked up....., and that's a fact, not just an opinion.

Reference? Margin of error? Any sampling or evidence to speak of? You've mistaken your prevailing bias for fact.

The link I provided to Greenwald's piece would have led you to this, if you'd bothered to read it. But here you go. http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ ... ml?hpid=z3

Day- delighted you're reading GG at Salon. he's served up GR/instapundit more than once, good crow.

if you're not just hunting partisans but concerned about policy why not make a donation to the ACLU ? that'd be a blow against mindless partisanship.
