El Mundo's is on Frankfort Ave just past the intersection with Ewing. Great Mexican dive. Cafe Kilimanjaro's is downtown on Theatre Square. It has good jerk chicken and other Carribean (sp) dishes.
Sandy's correct about Jicama Grill. It is further east on Bardstown Rd just east of Eastern Pkwy.
Nick is setting routes at Rocksport now. I use to climb at Hesters all the time but have changed over to Rocksport since I do more routes than bouldering.

The "little Italian place on Swan St" is The Comeback Inn. They have great homemade ravioli!gulliver wrote:Louisville is known for their great restaurants! All of the above (you'd surely find something on Bardstown) I always liked the Blue dog bakery on frankfort for lunch. had some bad fish in a Vietnamese place near Baxter ave.... Some little Italian place on Swan St was cool
Common sense ain't so common.
Ramsi's is definitely worth it, but another place you should check is the Mayan Gypsy (I like it better and the winelist kicks ass). Kashmir on Bardstown is the same as in Lex if you're looking for Indian. Mayan Gypsy has kindof a Carribbean thing going on like Ramsi's and not as busy. Thai would be Kim's Asian Grill downtown, couple of blocks from Mayan Gypsy.
