Miguels
Re: Miguels
I didn't intend to disparage the place, and obviously there is no lack of business for you guys--with good reason. Miguel's is one-of-a-kind and has great food--I've been loving it since 1997 or so, and don't hesitate to send whoever visits the Red there for food and whatever else they might need. But there are also a couple of other solid businesses in the area that most climbers never visit, even when M's is unbelievably crowded and out of food...that's all I'm saying. I still can't believe the Mexican joint in Beattyville went under last year...what a bummer!
Anyway, sorry to come off unsupportive D, I appreciate all you guys do for the area immensely. I met my wife there and many friends too. But in a region greatly depressed economically, Miguel's is a shining success story in the midst of much destitution...I wish visitors would spread the love a bit & support the region more sometimes as much as they do your joint & the RRGCC. Regardless, a million thanks for all you guys do & best of luck on the 2011 season! It will be another huge success no matter what one asshole on the internet says.

fuck that guy. he's an over privelidged retard. Miguels is a "safe place". A place like no other. Where else can you set your tent up and go away all day and your shits still there. In fact you've got people watching the whole day. I don't know if you've ever spent any time out at indian creek when the redneck meth head strung out locals are shooting their AK's at the moon. You and your skinny girlfiend are just as likely to be victims as witnesses. So yeah, I think Miguels brings more to the table than just being a restaurant. It's a scene and its safe.
To promote or to whine about how other businesses don't get their just due and then call yourself a local (Lexington-fail). If you want mexican food, stay in lexington or better yet, go back to mexico or where ever you came from ya fuckin whelp!

I am surprised there is not a sign that says "Welcome to Joe's RRG" at the Slade exit. Must feel great to have the feeling of self entitlement.Clevis Hitch wrote:fuck that guy. he's an over privelidged retard. Miguels is a "safe place". A place like no other.
