If it were up to me he would have left the place absolutely naked. I guess he could have kept the hat his money and his IDs.

best part of the thread:

“Finders keepers” is a nursery rhyme, not a succinct summary of personal property law."

wow, it certainly is quite the argument on there! some very strong opinions. i was really surprised how many people stood up for this guy, with the argument that climbers are "ruining" the outdoor experience for non-climbers by letting draws litter the wall. i also love the undertone that the "big bad strong climber" was getting what he was coming to him, b/c he dare to leave his draws on something-like he owns the place! see, hard climbers are all a-holes! ;)
i have the perfect solution: nobody goes outside anywhere, ever. every road we make, every trail that's broken only allows more access for people to come in and exploit nature.
now, back to t.v. and internet. i'm pretty sure i can find a nature app that will provide me with essentially the same experience.

90% of americans are doing this anyways... they're wanting us to conform. I think this dude works for the government.

Thank God 90% are sitting inside watching the world from a tv or laptop... Can you imagine if 90% of the world was outside experiencing it... it would be like the gumby wall at Roadside in October!!!

please do not confuse sport climbing at the red with real rock climbing or for actually real world experiences. the sterile world of clipping bolts is, um, not much adventure at all.
