I saw Lee belaying one day at Military Wall. He was belaying someone on something really hard and scary. I was then and still am now awestruck by his skills. As for Blake, eh, anyone can climb ~30 pitches in a day and win those sport weenie comps.
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening

You're an inspiration Lee, your vision and commitment to belaying these lines is sooo rad, I can only assume Lowell is editing the footage for "Pawn Lines" as we relish this RRG landmark. Hope Blake didn't get too preachy and ruin this personal milestone.

We will have to feature you on our online magazine "Catch" Do you have a picture of the actual belaying? It would be nice to go with the article...

the belay could be reproduced in the studio, we may be forced to use Dicaprio as a stunt belayer- if asked politely I'm sure the Jackson family would allow the use of one of Michael's gloves for the actual reproduction- will monitor the fax for Bollywood offers

I love it! It's about time to see the Red get some love in Catch. Lee you have indeed arrived.

Chance your name to One-Catch, because that's all a climber needs to send when you're the 'gun.

It's about time there was more recognition to the great job that full time belay slaves perform out there, week in and week out. Belay On, young man.

What kind of program did you do to train for the belay? Or are you one of those 'the best way to train for belaying is just do lots of belaying' people.

At BM (BelayMagazine) we offer a rope that has been fused at one end (a big loop) it comes also with a hook that you can place high at any point so you can belay for hours and keep your belaying shape all winter long. It works with any belay device...let me know if you would like to get one for this winter...
