Re: Winter Trail Day? Would you be in?
Easy on me man, I'm just making sure I can get enough bodies to get somthing done (looks like we do). But I'm thinking maybe the weekend after the 1st but i have not checked all my calenders to be sure I wont be hemming up someone elses event. Its also a matter of weather. If the roads a f'ed then then its not worth the risk in my book. I think it will be a Play-by-ear event. But with at least 5 strong backs we can get something done.rrgclimber wrote:im in when where and what time
I'm also open to any suggestions such as when, where, what. Also if anyone else wants to take the lead/assit on this I will back/welcome any help. I have a hope some of you hard chargers will offer to do smaller trail days.
Tackett, I marked my calender. See ya there!

Those are the only three approved system trails that were built for the purpose of providing access to climbing areas (made possible by Access Fund grants). Maintenance of other system trails is coordinated by the Red River Gorge Trail Crew - http://www.gorgecrew.com/
Also, one cannot just go out and perform trail maintenance. Any volunteer maintenance work needs to be coordinated with the Forest Service.

Oh Yeah Mike, if/when you host a winter work day. all of the workers are invited to stay at Land of the Arches for FREE!!
We'll have the stove set up in the building in a few weeks so everyone can stay nice and cozy.
Keep me posted as this event draws near.
