reminds me of Zaphod Bebblebrox from Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". When placed in the Total Perspective Vortex, a torture device meant to fry one's mind by demonstrating the immensity of the universe and one's insignificance to it, Bebblebrox learns, with no surprise at all, that relative to the universe he is the most important person in it.

Great books. Good movie too if you watch the old bbc version. new version kinda sucked. Mos Def is still good times.
