i use it verbally, but only with a flat sardonic delivery. like a faux-golf clap. woot.
the strong 't' at the end places too much of a burden on an actual exclamation: "wooooooooo - tuh!!!!!". if i need to express the win i prefer the good ole fashioned 'wooooo'.

but in the end i suppose it comes down to how comfortable you feel when wielding the woot.
