so I think this is on the pmrp... I am just curious how many places have been around long enough to rust on a resource that is paid for by the community. I understand secrecy needed for time to develop and respect that, but time to rust? Not that the blue tags are part of that group because they were clearly new. I'm just trying to bring out a second issue I guess.

the routes chosen1 and others are talking about as far as i know have never been closed, just not published. i did not bolt those nor have i even climbed them. i found them 5 years ago bushwhacking and heard they were there well before that. heard they were old porter routes or some other kids from north carolina. every route around doesnt have to be in the guide imho....enjoy the solitude and break from the scene

the blue tagged routes are from today or less than a couple months old. nowhere near time for people to start whining. if anyone would like to come out and help me schelp loads, spend money on hardware, cut trails and plan the proper development of an area then let me know. if not then wait patiently and areas will be opened when we get them ready.

areas will not be opened until proper trails are built and ready for too many people and dogs. seems fair to me....

well said rro...kafish, I also have the same offer. there are at least 4-5 independent groups bolting in PMRP right now, and I am sure all would be more than willing to take a friendly hand. the area that myslef and rjackson are developing does have some old routes from the porter era or the mccray/anderson time zone....we are in the process of re-equipping those as well as establishing new lines...ike RRO said, if you want to help, awesome. if not, I am sure I sepak for RRO as well when I say the solitude away from the maddening crowds is pure bliss...

all that to say, if you happen upon some routes with new hardware that are not in the guide, please be respectful and ask around before climbing them...they'll be there in coming weeks, and soon enough the masses will have their new placces to over run and destroy.

Kafish2 quit trying to be so goddam negative all the time or i wont get you out of anymore trouble like I did awhile back when you pissed everybody off with that other question that you had and bill set you straight.... or the times i had to get up and go bail you out because you were drunk and dancing naked on fourth street - without a permit i might add.

Just would like to state that I did not climb any of the routes and had no intention of climbing on them. Figured I knew what the tags were for... The newer ones with no tags, also were not climbed on.

Not trying to be negative, maybe trying to stir the pot some, mostly trying to shake some bushes and see who is bolting where. Hiking in the woods I was looking for some routes to develop too, just happened to come across someone else's goods.
