I've been climbing since '84 and I've always been the leader. Been living mainly out west and had my share of "incidents". It's not the first time I've sold my gear.
Like I said, just slowing down and been carrying it around a lot more than using it in the last few years. Only been out a few times a year the last couple. When you go that infrequently, you shouldn't be leading 'cause you're not sharp.
