This is my second deployment. I've spent lots of time trying to figure out how to have perishables shipped with no luck.

Battery powered coolers seemed promising. That didn't pan out.

Dry ice was the first method I researched. Diminishing returns. The amount required for the 10 days or so would not work.

Anyway, I'm simple. Pepperoni, mushroom, onion, feta, bacon.
Sure is a lot of fun while you're doing it...

dry ice it and have it next day aired - expensive but it might work.

If he could get the pizza next dayed, It'd be simpler to next day himself! about $1500 round trip...pizza not included.

That would be a real expensive pizza. Maybe we could send Miguel over there with the ingredients. Miguel, have you ever seen Afghanistan ? BAF is lovely this time of year.
....with every step he takes ... every move he makes....
odds are he won't live to see tomorrow.

if I wanted a Miguel's Pizza bad enough i'd pay it. How many people pay 10 grand or more jus to have a watch that they like or other luxury items. My opinion - you only got one time - you're over in goddamn Afghanistan - you deserve the luxury and should go for it.

he wants a cheesecake too.....But we just worry that it would be spoiled by the time it got there, and then he'd be out however much was spent to get it there, and have spoiled food to boot....That would be a double suck whammie....
