it IS about the numbers Kramp....3 burns my ass.....krampus wrote:Jumping on harderstuff stuff for the hell of it, trying to keep up some regular training, eating better and most importantly, in order to get what I want out of climbing this fall I have to remember why I'm out there in the firt place, and that even a shitty day of climbing would have been better than sitting around watching the super bowl. I really just want to spend as much time at home as possible this year, and get on as many routs as possible and even climb with chuffers like anticlimber.
Am I getting all "its not about the numbers, I just want to climb for fun" on your asses. Yeah, probably, but don't let it fool you piggy, I'm still going to crush malice within 3 goes.
For those who train
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
Bouldering 3-4 days a week where I have been cycling between 3 weeks power and 3 weeks power endurance. I have also been running 20-30 miles a week, which helps to stay fit. Did an outside race running race for the first time yesterday,. It made me realize that after 5ish months of only treadmill running, that outside feels a little different. Also have been trying to make sure that I do at least 3 core workouts a week.
Seems to be working, sent my hardest to date route last weekend. A 40ish foot power/ power endurance beast that I have had draws on for six months. I am excited to get to the red in March and see how I feel

I don't know that this season will see any of my best sends, but I'm working my ass off hoping I don't get any worse. And the hell with losing weight, I'm just trying not to gain any! Man it gets harder as you get older.
Seriously - Working out 5 days a week, strength, cardio and core. And getting outside as much as possible.

If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!
Your wall worked great my first year in WI, then we bought a house and I upgraded to the atticpawilkes wrote:are you bouldering on your home wall? how has that thing been working out for you? i know my parents are happy to see it out of their shed
I used all the wood from your old wall, plus quite a bit more. Thanks again.
