lol...I agree with Wes the best..it's not that I want to close out my Facebook account, I was just expecting something different I suppose. I love looking at all the photos thrown up there for sure. I need to complain less and do something constructive to change my page layout.

and if folks came up with witty or laughable comments in their status updates to make us smile, maybe it'd be more fun. As it is, I already have enough things to waste my time on.

Quoting a friends post:
"There are already more than a million monkeys on a million typewriters, and Facebook is nothing like Shakespeare."

Facebook is much more tolerable if you block the quizez and think of the rest as a narcissistic idol window.

On the quiz note it may interest you to know why there are so many seemingly pointless quizez and apps on facebook. So when click that little agree button to get to the quiz/app, you give the quiz/app writer access to your facebook info. That may not be a big deal if you didn't fill in your info page (which you should leave empty/or just not give much info), but for most facebook users there is a lot of good valuable info for the writer to sell.

Yep, just understand that as far as facebook, gmail, google voice, etc you are NOT the customer, you are the product that is being sold.

I think your expectations are a little high. What are you contributing that is so damn interesting and profound?

steep, if that is for me, please re-read my original post. i didn't join facebook to make a thousand pseudo friends. I did it to find old high school and college buddies. I just find it humorous that so many folks post trivial silliness like it somehow connects them to people.

Maybe you have an attachment disorder, so people connecting over every day things seems trivial and silly to you. Lots of people find their old buddies and then are able to know what's going on with them by seeing their status updates. It's the kind of stuff you would know about them if they lived next door.

Also, you did not answer my question---what do you contribute that is so worthwhile compared to what others contribute?
