How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared
It's cheaper... you can buy the neoprene pad for 10 bucks about anywhere, and the Plasti-dip is 6 bucks at Lowes. Plus, you can do two knee pads and a thigh pad with one can or Plasti-dip.
As an added bonus you can get high as hell from the fumes.
It takes about three coats per pad. I have a neoprene and rubber suit or armor at this point.

knee pads are lame as shit and should be considered "off" route at the Red.
If they were "allowed", I prefer the full suit.
