Advice I got as a kid regarding fighting, "hit first, and hit hard."
i think everything on the list translates to climbing nicely with the exception of number 3. you can't really pull off a rope-a-dope on rock.
i'd probably make this adjustment as well:
"remember, attack aggressively with one purpose in mind: to send."
