We went to Oil Crack Rock on Saturday and every climb was dripping due to the humidity: then the rains hit around 2:30. We did get on a few routes before the downpour. All that aside, being there with great friends and being able to be away from the masses sure was nice. Fortunately, it's just a short drive so we can visit often.

Even though the wall was dripping, it was our first time to Oil Crack. Got on 4 routes we've never tried before and it just whet our appetites. No pun intended. A wet day at the gorge is better than any stuck at home.

GWG, were you half of the couple I met at Miguel's who was planning to go up to Dip Wall?
ynot - I was home in record time last night, 90 minutes. I followed someone the whole way going over 80 mph who had a bigger radar target than me.

Lynne, That wasn't me. I was at Miguel's around 3:30 with some friends of mine.
I may have been the target you're talking about on the way home.

Hey, HelloWorld - what have you heard about the border crossings? I've heard that they've been pretty bad due to 'security' and SARS-related stuff (what that could be, I don't know). In part I'm asking because I've been looking for an excuse to head up to Lion's Head - I keep hearing great things about it, but I haven't made it up yet. Where else would be better to celebrate the 4th of July than Canada? (Insert "not-so-idle threat to move to Canada if US politics get much worse" here) Besides, there's that whole decriminalization thing - not that I would ever consider doing anything illegal in Canada, even if it was only punishable by a fine.
By the way - do you know Gus from Blurr? He comes down to the Red semi-frequently, so he'll have some useful info!
