I love great socks.
I hope I'm getting some for Christmas.

Then he grunts, "I will call you by whisper-ma-phone,
for the secrets I tell are for your ears alone."
SLUPP!!!
Down slupps the whisper-ma-phone to your ear,
and the old oncler's words are not very clear,
since they have to come down through a snergally hose
and he sounds as if he had smallish bees up his nose.

A fresh new fluffy pair of socks make the 12 mile hike back out of the backcountry 100% more enjoyable. Just thinking of that long rugged hike in the same worn, thin, crapped out socks would have been suicide. I too, love a clean warm fluffy pair of socks. Preferably a mixed poly-wool blend, mind you.

i once tried an experiment where i wore one pair of socks in one snowboard boot and two pairs of socks in the other boot to see which pair of toes stayed warmer. well, i forget which of those actually won the experiment. i like comfy socks!

Well thanks, that was of no help at all.
But I do understand the concept. I have exact socks that fit best with a ski boot, a double mountaineering boot, hiking boot, etc. Interfere with the karma of the correct fit and comfort of socks and it can just ruin the day completely. Now that would suck royal.
