I went with Black Diamond (C3s and C4s) and haven't once regretted my decision. But before I bought my first cam I bought BD nuts and like Myke, I don't leave home without 'em. Becoming a big fan of tricams also; a unique and versatile piece of engineering.

Didn't buy anything that wasn't on sale, great deals out there if you look (and have patience).

now why does this thread also never die? it is just like red tagging, politics, etc.....discussed ad naseum...

I think has to do with the fact that it's easier to post a new topic than to search a data base (whether it really is or it's just perceived). Why would you pick through information when you can just a ask the question.

Also, I think once you get a page or two into a post about a relevant topic it seems to go, well, er, off-topic. I think that's what climbers who aren't climbing really do best.

yeh BD! but the tip on tricams . . . I think i place them well and I still don't like them.

I love my BD cams. I also love my tricams.

my cams bring all the boys to the yard, and they're like, mine's better then yours, damn right its better then yours. i'll sell them to you, but i have to charge.

in summary, shamis is gay.

Tricams are stupid.

Cams are stupid.

You should just clip bolts.
