nah, I actually love Utah. This is actually a very critical post to save one of the treasured lands of not only the United States but the North American Continent.

but in the nature of RRC, I was able to use my contrary nature and cynicism to give it a bump.

and, btw, the mormons did tear a bloody path and were about to be squelched by Federal forces until a little distraction called the civil war popped up. They were responsible for several massacres across Missouri while en-route to Utah.

People can make a difference here. Elected officials tend to listen when large groups of people write to and call them. Complacency sure never got anything done...

in recent trips to the creek i have been disturbed by land for sale signs and road development (only dirt at this point) that gives the appearance of subdivision development. hopefully, at worst, they are >35 acre tracts. i can't imagine a population dense residential area way out there. on the southwest corner where you turn off the main drag between moab and monticello onto the road that takes you down into the creek.
