My goals have switched around a few time this year but the one I settled in on is now two weeks away. 1,600 ft. of dueling cracks, chimneys and a roof thrown in for good measure. Been training hard for this one. Black Canyon, here we go. I can hear the raging river already.
TradMike, if you're looking for some folks to grab a beer with either pre or post epic, shoot me an email. I might be kayaking in the area, and I live nearby.

So, I have been on a couple 13's. Sending is a strong possibity this year, as long as I can get back into training mode, and loose the lazy summer weight I gained. Looking forward to just being on those cool routes though.

Go west young Wes....limestone....some of the most awesome climbs you will ever see. If you're out here we can introduce you to Welcome Springs. Great free camping, little stream nearby, really sweet, really huge limestone cave and just great climbing, 13s and some stellar 12s and so on. Great place to go for a longer trip, lots of project options. just far enough away from town to still be able to run there for essentials and laundry. I would say the landscape is beautiful too, and it really really is, but a lot of it was burned recently, which offers a new kind of "beauty". With all the J-Trees, it kind of looks like Dr. Suess meets The Nightmare Before Christmas.

But, I am sure you have some projects picked out already. Just thought I would try to tempt you.

you need another hobby Paul.... ;)

But to answer your question, I don't know....but they sure as hell look creepy at night like strange creatures stalking thru the desert making it scarey for you to get up and pee in the middle of the night for fear of Skinwalkers or J-Trees getting you....it has made me almost completely stop drinking beer in the evenings around the fire, knowing that my 80-yr-old woman bladder will make me have to get up in the (gasp) dark, leave the safety of the tent and face the J-Trees.

Yes, I am still afraid of the dark.

They told you about the skinwalkers. Have you decorated the house with Kokopelis?
