Yes, Jeff.......my butt used to be naturally above my knees! Now I have to crunch it up to the end of my spine!
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

Damn! I'm impressed! I'm inspired to get off the couch and, uh, well, get a slice of birthday cake... (Mmmm Alton Brown's recipe for golden cake with Scharfenberger chocolate ganache)

JB, getting rid of the Fat Tire stock is no great loss. New Belgium has much better beers and Fat Tire is their worst. I'll bring you some of the good flavors next time I'm out your way or send some back with whomever is out here next.

OK what are some exercises that you can do at your desk while at work? Any suggestions?

I didn't do any crunches or pullups or anything, but I did a mile in the pool yesterday (not straight freestyle for a mile, but 64 laps in a 25 meter pool), which I'd never done before. So dehydrated at the end that I drank an entire liter of water... I think I'll keep a better eye on the hydration thing next time.

Gretchen-- you could try just "engaging your bundas" (did I spell that right, dipsi?) while you're sitting. So basically flex your ab muscles all day.

So far I've done:

6 sit-ups
1 climbing approach
6 climbs
Walked the approach ramps to my office 8 times (100 feet of eleveation gain)
Ate Pizza
Drank Beer
and I'm in the process of moving

I figure with the extra 15 pounds I'm carrying, I'm making my muscles stronger! It's like carrying my rack around with me all day!!!

JB you're my hero! This is my birth week so all I've been doing is drinking beer and unfortunately working. Oh, the weekend is almost here. 8)

Thanks, JB. My 27th will be full of love, food, and sangria. Yeah! I hope you had a great anniversary.
