Ray's New Guidebook

Post by funhog »

Hey folks,
Just looking at the sample for the new guide and noticed in the alternative directions to SBR that the town of Pineville is mentioned instead of Pine Ridge. Pineville is in Bell Co. and next to Pine Mtn. If you know Ray you should tell him the need for an edit.

Where were you when we were QCing this thing!?!?

The book has already gone to press so all edits will be for another edition (if that happens). That's a good find, though. I checked Johnny's old guide and it was Pineville there too.

We've already found some misprints in the guide but oh well. There are bound to be a ton. Definitely let us know if you see some more.

Thanks for letting us know,
Michelle

Ohhhh, we're not *pawning* it off on you...we're *selling* it to you. You will pay good money for mis-spellings, misprints, and imperfections...and you will like it. No, you will LOVE it! You'll even start to believe that the misprints are truth. Yeeeaaaa, in fact, there are a TON of ahhh...*hidden* misprints in there! Yeeeaaaa, it's a GAME of misprints! Yeeeeaaaaa, the game is to find the misprints and for every one you find you get a, uhhh, uhhh....you get a route named after you! Yeeaaa....that's it! That's the ticket!

Dear Lord! Who has hijacked Michelle's sweat personality and let this demon loose?
That is some funny stuff! I didn't know you were so diabolical and poor Ray is just your pawn....

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Just have a section on the board devoted to listing errata. You can put the link up there at the top of the page. That way, people can periodically check back to see updates and such. When someone finds a misprint, etc., they just email it or post it to a mod and it gets added to the errata section.

I can't wait to see the look on SCIN's face when he gets the first copy and realizes he misspelled his own name.

No need to wait till September. Be at the trail day and bid on the signed first copy to hit the streets.

Got it already man. It's pretty cool. The cover is waterproof and durable as hell. My name is spelled right too! However, at the top of each page on the Motherlode chapter it says "The Motherload". Doh!
